Lamar Holley, 61, passed away March 23, 1991.Born July 31, 1929 in Rexburg, Idaho to William Ingram and Lottie Nichols Holley. Married Lynnea Thomason, Jan. 2, 1969. He graduated in 1947 from Madison High School, Rexburg, Idaho; attended Ricks College and Brigham Young University; played on the basketball and boxing teams in both high school and college. He served an LDS Mission to Finland in 1949-51, and remained in Finland and coached the Finish Olympic Basketball Team and served as an interpreter for the U.S. Boxing Team during the 1952 Olympics. He returned to Finland later and introduced popcorn to their movie theaters. He opened Holley Realty and built and operated the Holleywood Bowl, one of the first bowling alleys in Idaho Falls area; he was President of Idaho Homeowners Assoc. in 1957 and 1958; later owned and operated a fertilizer business in Fillmore, Utah; and was President of the Holley Corp. at the time of his death.

Survived by his wife, Lynnea; children, William Holley, Randall Holley, Brandon Holley, Robbin Holley, Amber Holley, Celeste Holley, all of Sandy, Utah; Adam Jagger, Boise, Idaho, and Camille Jagger, Honolulu, Hawaii; 5 grandchildren; sister, Kay Bowen, Santa Monica, Calif; 2 brothers, Melvin Holley, Salt Lake and Dr. Alvin Holley, Stockton, Calif.

Funeral services will be held Wed., March 27, 1991 at 12:00 Noon in the Willowcreek 4th Ward, 2400 East Alta Canyon Drive (8575 South). Friends may call Tuesday 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary, 10600 South 1700 East, and Wednesday at the Ward 11:00-11:45 a.m. Graveside services will be held Thursday, March 28, 1991 at 2:00 p.m. in the Burton, Idaho Cemetery.
