Flynn A. Andrizzi, a student at the University of Utah and 1982 graduate of Jordan High School, has been awarded a 1988 Harry S. Truman Scholarship.

The 24-year-old junior, who is majoring in political science and public relations, is the only Utahn to receive the honor out of the 105 college students selected nationally. Awarded to one nominee from each state and a matching number of nominees at large, the scholarship covers tuition, fees, books and room and board up to $7,000 annually.Andrizzi, who was nominated by the U. Hinckley Institute of Politics administrators (and several others), plans to pursue a graduate degree program in public administration and a career in city government.
