Comedian George Wallace, whom Utah moviegoers may remember as the talkative mental patient in "Postcards From the Edge," will perform Friday, April 5, and Saturday, April 6, at Bentley's Comedy Oasis at the Salt Lake Marriott Hotel.
Wallace, who is the first to admit that being a black man with the whitest of names is a joke in itself, recently finished taping his own HBO "One Night Stand," which is scheduled to air April 20. He also appears in "A Rage in Harlem," a comedy thriller starring Gregory Hines and Danny Glover which will be released later this spring.Wallace has also appeared on "The Tonight Show," "Arsenio Hall" and "Late Night with David Letterman," and he has opened for entertainers such as Diana Ross, the Beach Boys and Tom Jones.
Also appearing with Wallace will be Dennis Hincamp, winner of the Salt Lake City Laugh Off. Showtimes are 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door.
