Hercules Aerospace of Magna has obtained a $19 million subcontract for work that will lead to a new Titan IV missile solid motor assembly plant at Cape Canaveral, Fla.

Sen. Orrin Hatch, R-Utah, was notified of the contract award by the Air Force."This award includes the manufacturing of various types of support equipment for testing activities at Canaveral," Hatch said. "Hercules has made a great investment in the Magna facility. I will do everything I can to help them secure sufficient work to offset its cost."

Martin-Marietta is the prime contractor on the project. Hercules is the largest subcontractor on it.
