The American Cancer Society is sponsoring Intermission, a support group for those with loved ones undergoing treatment of cancer.
The group is designed as a forum for those who face a terminal disease on a daily basis. Volunteers are trained by the American Cancer Society and have either been cancer patients or have loved ones undergoing cancer treatment.Meetings are held three nights a week. On Mondays, meetings are held at St. Mark's Hospital; on Wednesdays, at University Hospital; on Thursdays at Cottonwood Hospital. All meetings are scheduled from 7 to 9 p.m. For information about community resources, contact the American Cancer Society at 322-0431.
