The U.S. Navy Friday ordered a trial for two sailors accused of trying to sabotage a carrier in the Persian Gulf in support of Saddam Hussein's call for a Muslim holy war against the United States.

Airman Apprentice Abdul Shaheed, 22, of Saint George, S.C., and Seaman Apprentice James Moss, 21, of Marrero, La., were accused of "urging disloyalty, mutiny or refusal of duty" while aboard the USS Ranger in January, according to a statement issued from Subic Bay.The two are accused of encouraging fellow sailors to sabotage the Ranger's aircraft launch system and kidnap the skipper, Capt. Ernest Christensen, the Navy said.

No date for the trial has been set.
