Northern Utah residents won't have to go south to enjoy nice weather on the Easter weekend.
"We're going to have a nice weekend. How lucky can we be? Temperatures will be in the mid- or upper 60s," says William J. Alder, meteorologist in charge of the Salt Lake office of the National Weather Service. And in Utah's Dixie, temperatures should be even warmer - in the mid- to upper 70s.
As a prelude to a pleasant weekend, southern Utah continued to receive moisture, and snow shower activity was possible Wednesday along the Wasatch Front.
Wasatch Front temperatures were expected to be in the upper 40s Wednesday, dropping to about 30 degrees Wednesday night. Thursday readings will be in the lower 50s, rising to the mid- to upper 50s Friday and the low 60s Saturday, Alder said.
