University of Utah softball team returns to action after a two-week layoff, with a spring trip to Illinois. Utah (3-6), will play a double header at Bradley (6-6) on Wednesday and at No. 19 Illinois State (14-9) on Thursday. Friday and Saturday, the Utes will play in the four-team ISU Subway Classic in Normal, Ill. All six of Utah's losses have been at the hands of Top-10 teams, including a 5-3 loss to No. 1 ranked UCLA. All-America senior centerfielder Charmelle Green leads Utah at the plate (.379).

Utah pitcher Janet Womack has collected all three Ute wins and is 3-3 with a 1.73 earned run average. In the ISU Subway Classic, Utah will open against Iowa State (8-6), a team it beat earlier in the season (4-3). Other teams in the tournament are Northern Illinois (8-8) and host Illinois State.
