Beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, James Mark Mackintosh, 74 passed away March 24, 1991.
Born November 30, 1916 Salt Lake City to Daniel James Mackintosh and Annabell Marx. Married Jean Kapple on June 4, 1943.Graduated from the University of Utah in 1939. He majored in music and minored in psychology. James also played the trumpet for the University of Utah
Band and was a member of the Utah Symphony.
James joined the National Guard after graduating and entered the service in 1940. During World War II he served in Hawaii, the Philippines and New Guinea; and received an honorable discharge in August 1945. He worked at Kennecott from 1950 to 1983.
Survived by wife, three sons and two daughters, James Dixon; Mark Alan; Daren E.; Diana Jean Frank; all of Salt Lake; Shelley Blackenell, Mesa, Arizona; three brothers, Bill, Dan, and Dean; Salt Lake; two sisters, June Hales; Salt Lake and Gwen Fennell, Rupert, Idaho; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, March 27, 1991, 12 noon at the Mountain View Memorial Estates, 3115 East 7800 South. Cannon Mortuary funeral directors.
