Paul Samuel Worthen, age 89, died Saturday, 23, 1991 at the home of his daughter in Logan. He was a former resident of Salt Lake City.
Born November 12, 1901 in St. George, Utah, son of George W. and Lenora Woodbury Worthen. He married Ada Jones on September 2, 1925 in the St. George LDS Temple; she died October 1, 1972. He was a retired educator, teacher and principal. Member of the Lions Club. Active in the LDS Church, High Priest Group Leader, past president of the 70's Quorum. Past president of the Frontiers Group, and past president of the Utah Retired Teachers Assoc.Survived by one sons, two daughters and their spouses, Kent J. and Ruth Worthen, Santa Cruz, Calif.; Jeannine and Willard Conley, Salt Lake City; Ann and F. Neal Mortenson, Logan; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; sister, Lucille Peterson, Cedar Fork, Utah. Predeceased by two brothers and six sisters.
Funeral services will be 12 noon, Wednesday, in the Garden Heights Ward Chapel, 2935 South 2220 East, Salt Lake, with Bishop Bruce King conducting. Friends may call at the ward, from 10 a.m. until time of services. Burial will be in the Larkin Sunset Lawn Cemetery under direction of the Allen-Hall Mortuary in Logan.
