Anna L. Daraban

"Nonnie"Anna Lakatos Daraban, 97, returned to her Father in Heaven on March 20, 1991.

Born April 18, 1893 in Peleske, Hungary, then came to the U.S. at the age of 23. Became a citizen. Married Alexander (Sam) Daraban in St. Johns' Church in Cleveland, Ohio, 1914. He preceded her in death December, 1985; also preceded by a son-in-law, Lee Geerlings.

Anna loved gardening and crocheting. Her greatest dedication was to her family. She touched the hearts of many who knew her.

Fond memories will linger with her survivors: three daughters, one son: Mrs. Homer (Elizabeth) Gray; Mrs. Elenora Geerlings; Alex G. Daraban and wife, all of Salt Lake City; Mrs. Elden (Betty) Beckstead, Mesa, Ariz.; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Mass of Resurrection will be Monday, March 25, 1991, at 10 a.m., at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 670 South 1100 East, with Father James Simple officiating. Friends may call at MacKay Deseret Mortuary, 36 East 700 South, Sunday, 6-7 p.m. with holy rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. Interment, Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Lady of Lourdes Church, 670 South 1100 East, Salt Lake City, UT 84102.
