Arthur Francis Redding, 49, died Thursday, March 21, 1991 at his home of cancer.
He was born March 21, 1942 in Ogden, a son of Arthur Melborne and Ruby LaPreal Pace Redding. He married Linda Jensen, March, 1960 in Brigham City; they were later divorced. He married JaNeal Brailsford in March, in Quantico, Virg.; they were later divorced. He married Vickie Todd, March 22, 1986 in Ogden. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, March 21, 1987. He was reared and educated in Ogden and Brigham City. He had lived in Salt Lake City for the past five years. He was a member of the East Riverside LDS Ward in Salt Lake City. He served as president of the Sunday School and Young Mens and was currently serving as 2nd Counselor in the Elders Quorum.He was a graduate of the National FBI Academy. He had served as sheriff in Box Elder County and had also served as president of the Utah Sheriff's Association. Mr. Redding was employed by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in security.
Surviving are his wife, Salt Lake City; two daughters, Teresa Nielsen and Denise John, both of Brigham City; eight grandchildren; two sisters, Beverly J. Dewey, Escondido, Calif.; Carol G. Souter, Brigham City. Preceded in death by one daughter, Debra Bott, his parents and one brother, Mac R. McClellan.
Funeral services will be held Monday, March 25, at 11 a.m. at the East Riverside Ward Chapel, 5 North 11th West, Rose Park, with Bishop Kenneth Brimley officiating. Friends may call at Lindquist's Bountiful Mortuary, 727 North 400 East, on Sunday from 6-8 p.m. and Monday at the ward chapel from 10-10:45 a.m. Interment, Brigham City Cemetery.
