Lee J. Oldroyd, age 68, died March 19, 1991 in a Salt Lake hospital.

Born March 20, 1922 in Fountain Green, Utah to Lee Johnson and Elizabeth Chapman Oldroyd. Married Elizabeth Higginson in 1942 in Nephi, Utah; marriage later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Active in church organizations. Life member of DAV. Veteran of World War II, he was wounded in France during the Battle of the Bulge. Loved walking his dog. Retired from Tooele Army Depot after 36 years.Survivors: Wife, sons, Kenneth J. and his wife, Karen; Alan H. and his wife, Josie, all of Tooele; daughters, Mrs. Steven G. (Linda) Bridges, Soldotna, Alaska; Mrs. Terry (Arlene) Leach, West Valley City; 29 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brothers, Glen C., Murray; Grant D., Salt Lake City; sisters, Lois Christensen, West Jordan; Julia Tidwell, Fairview.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 22, 1991 at 1 p.m. in the Tooele 4th-14th Ward, 192 West 2nd South. Friends may call Tate Mortuary on Thursday, 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior at the church on Friday. Interment: Tooele City Cemetery.
