Utah archaeologist Jesse D. Jennings will present a lecture and slide show Monday, April 8, at 7:30 p.m. at the Social and Behavioral Sciences Auditorium on the University of Utah campus.

The lecture is part of Utah Archaeology Week and the Bureau of Land Management's Adventures in the Past-Great Basin Tribute. The $3 admission fee will be partially matched by the Utah Endowment for the Humanities to fund a summer archaeology institute for Utah teachers.Jennings, professor emeritus at the U., is known throughout the world for his pioneering research into prehistoric desert cultures of the Great Basin and his syntheses of North American prehistory.
