The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation will host a Bachelor Auction on Friday, March 29, at the Red Lion Hotel. The evening begins with a cocktail party from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Bachelors will be auctioned beginning at 7:30.
All proceeds will go to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation to help fight cystic fibrosis. Following the auction, there will be a dance featuring Surround Sound System as the DJ.Bachelors include Terry Wood, KUTV News; Brad Goode, KTVX News; Andre Alridge, KUTV Sports; Brad Steinke, KSL Sports; Kirk Muspratt, assistant Utah Symphony conductor; Rep. Bill Orton, D-Utah; and Dan Sullivan of the Utah Jazz. A total of 30 of Salt Lake's most eligible bachelors with their date packages will be auctioned off to the highest bidder.
Mistress and master of ceremonies for the evening will be Karolyn Fraizer and Jay Kelly of K-98.7 Radio, and Olson Auction Galleries will provide the auctioneer.
Cystic fibrosis is the No. 1 genetic killer of children and young adults in the United States. One in 20 Americans carries the gene that causes the disease, which attacks the lungs and digestive system. The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and its Utah Chapter raise money for research, treatment and education.
General admission tickets for the auction are $15 and can be purchased in advance at the CF office, 515 S. 700 East, No. C2, or at the door the night of the auction. If you have questions, call 322-2226.
