Farmington resident Danny L. Mabey has been appointed director of the Utah International Business Development Office of the Utah Division of Business and Economic Development.
In making the announcement, Stanley B. Parrish, Utah Department of Community and Economic Development executive director, said Mabey has been been serving as interim director since the former director, Andrew Johnson, resigned to enter private business last September.As office director, Mabey is responsible for helping Utah companies export goods and services to foreign markets and assist in attracting foreign investment for Utah endeavors. He also will coordinate activities of Utah's foreign offices in Japan, Korea, Taiwan and Belgium.
Mabey received his bachelor's degree from Boise State University and a master's degree in public administration from Idaho State University. Before joining state government in October 1989 he was executive director of Crystal Springs Inc., operators of a resort in Box Elder County.
