Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Mable Argentos, age 80, passed away March 19, 1991, following surgery in a Berkley, California hospital while visiting Chris and Carol, her son and daughter-in-law.

She was born September 21, 1910 in Salt Lake City to Peter and Mary Makis. Raised in Magna where she attended Cyprus High School. Married Peter C. Argentos April 22, 1928; he preceded her in death August 25, 1986. Her primary pleasure in life was raising her family and enjoying her grandchildren. She was exceptionally proficient in crocheting, winning several blue ribbons for her work at the Utah State Fairs. She also crocheted numerous afghans which will be cherished by her family and friends. In later life she was instrumental in organizing and leading "Mable's Sing Along" at the Fairmont Senior Citizens Center, which she throughly enjoyed.She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Chris P. and Carol of Oakland, California; George P. and Jan, Salt Lake City, Utah; her grandchildren, Brad, Salt Lake City; Lori, Los Angeles, California; and Mrs. Dale (Michelle) Jorgensen, Beaverton, Oregon; sisters, Babe Coon, Magna; and Vera Conti, Albany, California.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 23rd, at the Greek Orthodox Holy Trinity Church, 279 South 300 West. Friends may call Friday evening from 6:30-8 p.m., at the MacKay Deseret Mortuary, 36 East 700 South. Trisagion services will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday evening. Interment in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to the American Cancer Society.

She was a very loving and caring person who will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
