Beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Mary B. Ouzounian, age 84, passed away March 19, 1991, in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Born October 16, 1906, in Aintab, Turkey, the daughter of Krikor and Marie Tabakian Bozoghlanian. Married Ruben Ouzounian June 25, 1924, in Aleppo, Syria; later solemnized May 29, 1958 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He preceded her in death February 14, 1974. Active member of the LDS Church; serving as Relief Society president, Sunday School superintendent, MIA superintendent and Primary president in the Aleppo, Syria Branch. Helpful in the immigration of numerous Armenian families to the United States in past years. A very talented Oriental rug maker. One of her works depicting Brigham Young won 1st Place and is displayed at the Daughters of the Utah Pioneer Museum. At the LDS Church Museum, is a 9x12 Ouzounian Temple rug.Survived by four sons and two daughters: Arthur (Sylvia), Albert (Violet), Angela Ouzounian Sanossian, Samuel (Siv) and George (Ruth), all of Salt Lake City; and Joesphine Ksajikian (George), Granada Hills, California; 38 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her sister, Lousin Apkarian and two grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 23rd, 11 a.m., in the Eagle Gate 20th Ward, 2nd Avenue and G Street. Friends may call at the Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, Friday from 6-8 p.m., and at the Ward Saturday, one hour prior to services. Interment, Salt Lake City Cemetery.
