Leland Jay Hansen, age 68, passed away suddenly on March 16, 1991 in Riverside, Calif.
Born October 9, 1923 in Tremonton, Utah, the son of Leland James and Ione Felsted Hansen. Married Hallie Jean Coon on September 9, 1947. Graduated from Bear River High School, 1940, attended Utah State University and University of Utah, received M.D. from University of Maryland Medical School, 1946, medical doctor in Riverside, Calif., from age 25 until his death.He was past president of the Magnolia Exchange Club and officer of the Victoria Tennis Club. He enjoyed sailing and participating in competitive tennis receiving many trophies. He enjoyed reading medical journals, but also read and was conversant on a wide variety of topics. He loved music and was accomplished on the coronet. He showed great love and devotion to his family. As a doctor he was loved by his patients and respected in the medical community.
Survived by his wife Hallie, Riverside; children: Jim Hansen, Monterey, Calif.; Jennifer Hansen, Huntington Beach, Calif.; Dr. George Hansen, San Bernardino, Calif.; sisters: Mrs. Paul (Marjorie) Kutchinski, Mission, Texas; Mrs. Rodney (Mitzi) Brady, Salt Lake City; four grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents and two brothers, Gary who died in infancy, and Dr. Donald Leon Hansen.
Memorial services will be held Wednesday, March 20, 1991 at 3 p.m. at the Garden of Prayer, Riverside, Calif.
