Howard Durfee, 79, loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, died March 19, 1991 in Salt Lake City.

Born January 30, 1912 in Hagerman, Idaho to George and Helen Graham Durfee. Married Margaret Christine Howells in Reno, Nevada, April 2, 1943. He was an avid golfer, earning the Hole-in-One Award. Line driver for P.I.E. Trucking for 30 years, 2,000,000 miles driven with no accident. Life member of the D.A.V.Survived by wife; daughters and sons, Sandra Lytle, Evanston, Wyoming; Shaunee Durfee, Crossville, Tennessee; Michael Durfee, West Jordan; Randall Durfee, El Paso, Texas; Delores Yates, Pawhuska, Oklahoma; Delbert Durfee, Wendall, Idaho; 17 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by one son, William Howard Durfee.

Funeral services Friday, March 22, 1991, 2 p.m., Goff Mortuary Chapel, 8090 So. State, where friends may call Thursday 7-8 p.m. and Friday one hour prior to the services. Interment, West Jordan City Cemetery.
