A former director of the Davis County Health Department is returning this spring to fill his old job. The county health board Monday confirmed the appointment of Dr. E. Arnold Isaacson.
Isaacson, 61, was Davis County health director from April 1963 through July 1966, when he left to work for the Arizona Health Department.He now is a regional director for the Texas Department of Health and a part-time associate professor of health science at Texas Tech University, Lubbock, Texas. Isaacson will finish out the spring term at the university and assume his duties in Davis County on May 1, county Personnel Director Steve Baker said.
The health board has been searching for a replacement for Dr. Enrico Leopardi since he retired last fall.
Starting salary for the new director is $65,000 annually.
