In the Old West, short-tempered cowpokes were known to shoot horses that let them down.
A Salt Lake motorist applied that principle to his Dodge Colt recently when it was stopped for speeding and invalid license plates.According to a report by Salt Lake Police Officer James Nelson, the 34-year-old motorist was pulled over next to his business on west 500 South and informed that the Colt would be impounded.
As the officer was filling out the impound slip, the motorist "ran into his business and grabbed a large steel bar" and then returned and "smashed every window in the vehicle."
Police had no explanation for the man's behavior. A citation was issued, and the windowless Colt was towed away.
