The name of a 22-year-old woman killed Thursday afternoon when her small truck was hit by a train in Clearfield has not been released yet by Clearfield Police.

The woman was injured in the 2:45 p.m. accident and died shortly afterward at Humana Hosptial Davis North, according to police. A toddler in the truck with her was seriously injured; police have not released the child's name.According to police, the woman apparently drove around barriers where the Union Pacific railroad tracks cross the street at 200 S. Main St. Her small pickup truck was struck broadside on the driver's side by a train traveling about 40 mph.

The train dragged the truck several hundred feet, police said. Other passengers in the truck leaped out when they saw the train, police said, and were not injured.
