LeeAnn Powell has been named as the city's new recreation director. The Clinton City Council will officially accept her appointment March 26 at its regular bi-monthly meeting.
Powell has a masters' degree and is currently involved with Salt Lake County at the Magna Recreation Center. She's expected to take over Clinton's full-time recreation position on April 1.According to Clinton city manager Gary K. Uresk, Powell has an excellent background in youth and adult sports.
She replaces Tony Onofrietti, the former recreation director, who resigned March 8 to pursue other business and recreational opportunities after holding the position for three years.
