Janelle Burgon of Orem won the women's overall in the 16th Annual Canyonlands Half-Marathon. At 1.19.16, she set a new course record for women in the half-marathon. First place overall in the men's division of the half-marathon went to Richard Bishop of Cheyenne, Wyo. His time was 1.09.48.
Steve Nelson of Ogden, was the sole participant in the wheelchair division of the half-marathon. He was clocked at the finish at the Moab City Park at approximately one hour and 13 minutes.Top honors overall in the five-mile men's division went to David O'Hara of Provo. He came in at 24 minutes, 45 seconds.
Toby Jacober of Boulder, Colo. held onto the first-place title she took last year in the women's division for overall performance in the five-mile run, although at 28 minutes and 58 seconds she fell short of her 1990 run.
