The Utah chapter of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation will hold its annual dinner and auction on March 30.
It will be at the University of Utah Park Hotel and will start at 5 p.m. with an archery exhibition by Denise Parker and Ed Elison. Cost is $40 for a single ticket, $60 for a couple.Proceeds from this event will go to support wildlife projects in Utah. The RMEF has generated more than $625,000 for projects in Utah. Currently the foundation is helping the BLM with the Bookcliff Wildlife Management area.
The foundation started five years ago. Its purpose was to preserve and develope new elk range in the U.S. Thus far it has contributed several million dollars to elk projects in states in the western U.S.
Among other projects, the RMEF contributed to the purchase of critical elk habitat in northern Utah.
