Enron Corp., a Houston-based natural gas and pipeline company, says it is planning to bring Lt. Gen. Thomas Kelly aboard after he retires from the Army.

Kelly, who became a familiar figure with his Pentagon briefings during the Persian Gulf war, will be nominated for a seat on the Enron board at a May 7 shareholders meeting, said Enron Senior Vice President Ed Segner.Experts with executive search firms say prominent Desert Storm figures like Kelly, who retires from the Army this month, are in big demand by large American companies because they bring prestige and a special international and management perspective.
