Frederick Reynolds Hardy, age 72, died March 15, 1991 in Salt Lake City.
Born February 8, 1919 in Salt Lake City, a son of T. Fred and Polly Reynolds Hardy. Married Edith Stephens, April 28, 1950 in Salt Lake City. Graduated East High School in 1936. Completed undergraduate work at the University of Utah, recived D.D.S from Northwestern University, Chicago. Served an LDS Swiss-Austrian Mission in 1938. Served as Navy Lieutenant until 1947, when he became a commander in the Naval Reserves. President, then Secretary, Utah Dental Association 1961-1975. Received UDA Distinguished Service Award 1983. Member International College of Dentists and lifetime member American Dental Assocation. Centurary member Boy Scouts of America. Charter member and past president of the Utah Arabian Horse Association; regional representative to the International Arabian Horse Association.Survived by wife, Salt Lake; two sons, one daughter, Thomas, of Japan; Rich, of Idaho Falls; Mrs. Bill (Sylvia) Case, Salt Lake; eight grandchildren, brother and sister, Mrs. Marcus Ruth Funk and Grant Hardy, sister in law, Grace Hardy. Preceded in death by his brother, Howard.
Funeral services Wednesday, 12 noon, McDougal Golden Rule Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, where friends may call Tuesday 7-8 p.m. and Wednesday 11-11:40 a.m. Interment, Henefer Cemetery.
