Kent Terry White, age 67, passed away Saturday, March 16, 1991 at his home in Bountiful, after a two year battle against cancer.

Kent was born in Garfield, Utah, May 13, 1923 to Joseph and Mary Hibler White. On February 15, 1952, he married Jean Day, and on May 13, 1955 they were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. Kent attended Cyprus High School, the University of Utah, and Kalamazoo College. He was very active in the LDS Church, having served in many capacities. On of his most rewarding callings was being Bishop of the Centerville 17th Singles Ward. Kent worked for the Corporation of the President of the LDS Church, retiring on March 1, 1991.Survived by wife, Jean, daughter, Connie and her husband, Mark Partridge, son in law, Ron Pierson and his wife, Nani, seven grandchildren. Also survived by a sister, Kathryn Passey, and two brothers, Lenn and Chad. Preceded in death by two daughters, Jolyn Pierson and Wendie White, his parents, and a brother, Paul.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 19, 11 a.m., at the Rowland Way Chapel, 610 North 100 East, Centerville. At Kent's request, there will be no public viewing. Friends and relatives may meet with the family from 9-10:45 at the chapel. Burial will be in the Valley View Memorial Park, 4100 South 4400 West, under the direction of McDougal Golden Rule Funeral Home.
