"Ol' Blue Eyes" is back!
Frank Sinatra - along with Steve Lawrence and Eydie Gorme, with Frank Sinatra Jr. leading the orchestra - will bring his Diamond Jubilee World Tour to Salt Lake City for one night only, Tuesday, May 21, at 7:30 p.m. in the Salt Palace arena.Tickets will be available beginning Saturday, March 23, at 7 a.m. at the Salt Palace box office and all Smith's Tix outlets. All seats are reserved and will be priced at $35 and $50, with a limited number of "VIP" seats available for $75 each.
This marks the first personal appearance by Frank Sinatra in Salt Lake City in nearly 35 years.
He last performed here on June 15, 1957, at the Fairgrounds Coliseum, while Steve & Eydie were in Salt Lake in 1979 for the Utah Symphony's final concert in the Tabernacle, prior to the symphony's official move into the new Symphony Hall.
Sinatra, Steve and Eydie will perform in an in-the-round setting accompanied by a 31-piece orchestra.
The event is the first promotional collaboration between United Concerts and SMG Productions, a division of Spectacor Management Group, the company currently managing the Salt Palace Center.
Spectacor manages 27 public assembly facilaities throughout the world, including stadiums, arenas, convention centers and performing arts venues. They've been responsible for bringing Frank Sinatra to seven SMG venues.
