State health officials say they might have a decision late this week on the Army's request for permission to conduct a test burn of a Pershing missile at the Pueblo Depot Activity.

John Clouse of the Colorado Health Department's pollution-control division said health officials are still collecting information about the proposed burn and were unable to make a decision by Monday, which was when it was to have been announced. But, he said, it could be made by Thursday or Friday.

The Army submitted the request on March 16, but the state asked for results of air-pollution monitoring of a Pershing test burn conducted at Redstone Arsenal in Alabama on March 16, he said.
