Patricia Diena Solomon Thomson, age 62, beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, friend and neighbor passed away March 15, 1991 at the home of her son.
Born December 6, 1928, Holladay, Utah, a daughter of Albert Edward and Gerdiena Stuurman Solomon. Married Joseph Don Thomson, December 18, 1944; solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, June 19, 1950. Worked side-by-side with husband Don in auto parts business for 25 years until he died in September of 1980. Active member of the LDS Church, serving in many positions, Primary president, secretary, teacher Young Women's president, Relief Society counselor for eight years with good friend Donna Finck; visiting teacher for 36 years. Volunteer Salt Lake LDS Temple. She loved life. Her family always came first. She loved her grandchildren more than anything. She was a great friend to the neighborhood children. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her.Survived by sons and daughters-in-law; Dean and Ann, Midvale; Mark and Cathy, Rose Park; Jay and Tracy, West Jordan; Jon and Cheryl, Kaysville; 11 grandchildren, Matthew, Marilee, Marci, Melissa, Marcus, Joshua, Justin, Lexie, Lacey, Jeremy and Cody; brother, Alfred P., West Valley; sister, Mary Jane Coleman, Salt Lake City; preceded in death by husband, parents, a fantastic step-father, John DeHaan; brother, Dan Solomon and one grandchild, David Mark.
Funeral services will be held Monday, March 18, 1991, 12 noon, Bountiful North Stake Center, 1540 No. 400 East. Family and friends may call Sunday, March 17th, 6-8 p.m. Bountiful Lakeview Memorial Estates, 1640 E. Lakeview Dr. (approximately 10th South) and Monday one hour prior to services at the Church. Interment: Centerville Cemetery. Funeral Directors: Bountiful Lakeview Memorial Estates.
