Ileene Nielsen Jensen, loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister passed away on March 12, 1991, in the Gunnison Hospital, after a valiant 19 year battle with cancer.
She was born on March 31, 1925, along with her twin siser Florene, the daughters of Deloy and Lucy Tooth Nielsen in Salina, Utah. She graduated from North Sevier High School, attended BYU and Provo Beauty School. She married Harold S. Jensen on June 3, 1947, in the Manti LDS Temple. She gave a lifetime of service to her family, neighbors, church and community. She was an active member of the LDS Church where she served in all auxilliaries in ward and branches throughout the country. She especially loved teaching the little children. She was a proud member of DUP and Legion Auxilliary. Her loving spirit of charity will be deeply missed.She is survived by her husband, Gunnison; five children, Joanne and Bruce Wayman, Sandy; Don and Diana Jensen, American Fork; Jerry and Letha Jensen, St. Joseph, Missouri; Nancy and Rick Fullmer, Connie and Danny Brotherson, all of West Valley City; 12 grandchildren, and twin sister Florence Wilson, Mona. She was preceded in death by her sister Mildred Dahle.
Funeral will be held Saturday, March 16th, at 1 p.m. at the Redmond Chapel. Friends may call Friday evening from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Gunnison Stake Center and on Saturday from 11:30-12:30 p.m. at the Redmond Chapel. Interment, Redmond City Cemetery. Funeral directors: Warren R. Jensen, Salina.
