William W. Moorhead, age 80, died March 12, 1991 in South Davis Community Hospital.
He was born October 15, 1910 in Glenco, Wyoming son of William and Sarah Walker Moorhead. He married Della Peterson July 30, 1934 in Richfield, Utah. He was a Past Master of Henry A. Greene Lodge, No. 250 F. & A. M. and Past Patron of Lewis Chapter No. 198 Order of the Eastern Star in Tacoma, Washington. He was a member of the Bountiful Community Church. He began his career in Pocatello, Idaho in the Civilian Conservation Corp Headquarters in 1935. In l942 he was transferred to Fort Lewis, Washington to be Administrative Assistant to the Post Engineer. In 1957 he transferred to the Comptroller section, working in the Management Engineer Division. In that position he became the Budget Officer in 1963. In 1967 he received the second highest Meritorious Civilian Service Award that a Civilian can receive from the Army.He is survived by his wife, Della; one son William W. Jr., daughter-in-law, Mary Jo.; two grandsons, William W. III and Keith P.; a granddaughter, Julie Ann; one great grandson Tyler; two sisters, Mrs. Lloyd Schmidt (Dorothy) and Joyce Manly.
Graveside Services Thursday March 14, 1991, 1 p.m. in Richfield Cemetery. Memorial Services will be held, 11 a.m. Saturday, March 16, in the Bountiful Community Church with Reverend Peter Chase officiating. In lieu of flowers, family suggests contributions to the Bountiful Community Church in his name. Funeral Directors: Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary.
