George Orval Dart, 83, of Joseph, Utah, died March 8, 1991 in a Richfield care center.

Born January 18, 1908 in Brighton, Adams County, Colorado to Charles Henry and Bertha May Harris Dart. Married Dorothy Reeves in Orange County, California in 1931, later divorced. Married Lanita Wells Olin, June 13, 1947 in Los Angeles, California; solemnized November 12, 1949 in the St. George LDS Temple. He was a welder and worked in California during the war in the shipyards and at Emsco, where he built oil derricks. He moved to Utah in 1976, after his retirement. George joined the LDS Church in 1946 and was active in the Priesthood, serving in the Adult Aaronic Priesthood, as a Sunday School superintendent and in the genealogy library. He and his wife, Lanita, served a Manti LDS Temple Stake Mission.Survived by his wife, Lanita, Joseph; two sons, daughter, Orval Vern Dart, Huntington Beach, California; Mrs. James (Lora Lee) Rasmussen; Buena Park, California; Robert Charles Dart, Winter Park, Colorado; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother, Fletcher Dart, Huntington Beach, California; preceded in death by two sons, Raymond Dart and William Charles Olin; parents, one brother, five sisters.

Funeral services Thursday, March 14, 1991 at 12 noon in the Joseph LDS Ward Chapel in Elsinore, Utah, where friends may call from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Thursday morning. Burial: Joseph Cemetery. Funeral Directors: Neal S. Magleby and Sons Mortuary.
