Former Weber State placekicker Roger Ruzek, who has been a holdout from the Dallas Cowboys' training camp since July 21, said Thursday night he would come back for the same contract given to kicker Jess Atkinson, who was released by the team last week.

During contract negotiations between the Cowboys and Ruzek last Thursday, his agent, Bucky Woy, proposed a one-year deal worth $136,000 plus incentives. Dallas rejected the proposal and Ruzek returned home to Ogden. The $136,000 would have matched Atkinson's contract, which the Cowboys assumed when they claimed Atkinson on waivers from Washington. Dallas released Atkinson last Thursday. The Cowboys have offered Ruzek a four-year deal that averages $128,000 a season.
