The Salt Lake Trappers return home Thursday following a difficult road swing that finished up Wednesday with the Trappers losing their third straight and fourth in six games. The latest loss was 5-2 to the Pocatello Giants.

The Trappers left on the trip trailing division-leading Butte by just one game. They open their final home stand trailing Butte by four games with just five left to play. Thursday's game at Derks Field with Idaho Falls will begin at 7 p.m. To win the division, Salt Lake will need to win all five games and Butte will have to lose four.Against the Giants, Salt Lake scored first in the first inning when Pat Waid came home on a double by Mando Verdugo. The Giants came back to score two in the bottom half of the inning. Salt Lake tied the game when Verdugo scored from second on a double by Tim McKercher.

Salt Lake got only two more hits the rest of the game.
