Charles Smith of Georgetown hit a 3-point play with 23 seconds left in overtime Wednesday, helping the U.S. Olympic basketball team blunt a rally by an NBA select squad for a 105-103 victory. Smith, a point guard, scored 7 of his 20 points in overtime to lift the Olympians to their sixth victory in seven games against NBA players.

The NBA blew a final opportunity when Utah Jazz guard Bobby Hansen lost the ball at midcourt to Mitch Richmond with 10 seconds to play.
