Selection of the top students in each of 10 Sterling Scholar categories at North Sevier High School in Salina has been announced.

The group will compete against scholars from a dozen area high schools for regional honors in the Sterling Scholars of Central Utah program. The awards program will be in early April. Co-chairmen of the regional program are Mr. and Mrs. Richard Chamberlain of Richfield.North Sevier scholars, their categories of selection, parents and communities are: Martin Jensen, mathematics, Mr. and Mrs. Brent Jensen, Redmond; Matt Kjar, social science, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Kjar, Aurora; Jewly DeMille, speech and drama, Mr. and Mrs. Jerald DeMille, Salina; Linda Bowers, music, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Bowers, Salina.
