The town of Glenwood and the Glen-wood Irrigation Co. have secured a $120,000 grant from the U.S. Soil Conservation Service through the Small Watershed Act.

The money will be used to improve efficiency and correct operational problems of the pressurized irrigation system. The project is in the planning stages and construction is expected to begin by midsummer.It was reported that Mayor Mark Lewis and the irrigation company's president, Ralph Dastrup, have been working for more than a year to obtain the grant.
