Radix Corp. of Salt Lake City, a manufacturer of electronic hand-held data capture devices and portable printers, has reorganized its marketing efforts and moved into a new 58,000 square-foot building to meet its increased sales and production demands.
Steven I. Raemer, vice president of marketing, said the company now will have sales and marketing divisions to better serve clients in varied industries that use the hand-held devices and related computer software.The sales staff will be headed by Don Johnson, director of North American Sales, and Randel L. Wightman, director of marketing communications, will direct all of the company's media, advertising, telemarketing and documentation efforts.
Since development of the hand-held meter reading system, the company has purchased Immediate Business Systems and now offers TicketMaster, a complete hand-held parking ticket system.
By moving to the new building in the International Center, Radix has consolidated most of the IDS services that previously were located in Birmingham, Ala. Services remaining in that city include Fortune 1000 sales, software development and administrative support.
To note the move, an open house will be held at the new building Aug. 26.
