A meeting to help parents of children with Down's syndrome better understand the disorder is set for 7 p.m. Friday, March 15, at 4212 Taylor Drive in Ogden.

The meeting will give medical information and help parents who have recently had a child with Down's syndrome understand the feelings they are experiencing, said Patty Hatch, president of the foundation."When a child with Down's syndrome is born, the parents usually feel disappointment and great apprehension. Those feelings are normal. We all felt them," said Hatch, who has a 5-year-old daughter with Down's syndrome.

Taylor Drive is located south of Weber State University, between the main campus and the Dee Events Center.

The meeting is free and open to parents or close relatives of afflicted children, Hatch said.
