George L. Harmon, 72, died March 4, 1991 in Provo, Utah at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center, due to complications resulting from an auto accident on January 30, 1991.

He was born September 11, 1918 in Manti, Utah a son of Milton and Rosella Harmon. He married Virginia Hogan of Gunnison, Utah on November 4, 1940 in Salt Lake City, Utah. They were later sealed in the Logan LDS Temple in 1963. He served in the Army in World War II in the Philippines and Japan. After returning home he became a self-made, self-educated, successful businessman and was an inspiration to all other. He was an active member of the LDS Church and loved to be of service to others. He was also a member of the American Legion and was a top realtor for 14 years.His love of life was his companion and friend of fifty years, his surviving wife, Virginia. He enjoyed his children and grandchildren and the closeness they all shared. The love and respect we hold for our Dad will endure in our hearts forever.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia, Provo; one son and three daughters, Doris Allen, Brigham City; Mr. and Mrs. James Ross (Brenda), Salt Lake City; Mr. and Mrs. Gary Harmon, Springville; Mr. and Mrs. Steve Wagstaff (Phyllis), Salt Lake City; 11 grandchildren; Mike, Brandon, Tyson, Malisha, Jamie, Jeannie, Travis, Jesse, Stephanie, Heather and Kimberly; three brothers and two sisters, Leonard Harmon, Manti; John Harmon, St. George; Richard Harmon, Oregon; Mrs. Bill (Norma) Grotipas, Sandy; Mrs. Melvin (Melva) Stevens Brown, West Valley. He was preceded in death by his eldest son, Robert George Harmon.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 8, 1991 at 11 a.m. at the Rivergrove 3rd Ward LDS Chapel, 450 North 1200 West, Provo. Friends may call at Berg Mortuary of Provo, 185 East Center on Thursday evening from 7-9 p.m. and at the church on Friday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Interment Brigham City Cemetery. Military Rites will be accorded at the cemetery.
