Our loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, son and friend, R. Dwayne Crockett, 62, died March 3, 1991 at home after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born August 5, 1928 to Russell P. Crockett and Therma O Hansen in Preston, Idaho. He enjoyed a happy childhood and graduated from Preston High School in 1946. He served in the military and then attended Stephen Hennegar's Business College in Salt Lake City. He also attended Brigham Young University where he has remained an active supporter of BYU athletics and was a member of the Cougar Club.He married Karma Cole Choules on March 29, 1958 in Salt Lake City and was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple in 1963.

He was a successful businessman as owner and manager of a service station in Holladay, Utah for over 30 years. he was trusted and loved by many and enjoyed serving and helping others.

He was an active member of the LDS Church. He served a mission in the New England States and also enjoyed service in various other church callings.

He enjoyed many activities with his grandchildren, taking them horseback riding, bowling, miniature golfing and going to the park.

He was good natured and kind and will always be remembered and remain in our hearts.

Survivors include his wife, Karma; mother, Therma Crockett; daughters, Sherrie Park, Santa Clara, Calif.; Pauline Moss , Clarkston, Wash.; Wendy Hoover (Victor), Pleasant Grove; two sons, David Crockett (Leanna), Springville; and Jeffrey Crockett of Minneapolis, Minn. He is also survived by two sisters, Jerry Handy (Darrell), Salt Lake City; Diane Spiesman (Guy), Scottsdale, Ariz.; and brother, Kent Crockett (Chris) of Phoenix, Ariz. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 7, at 12 noon, at Hillcrest 6th Ward Chapel, 8485 South 10th East, Sandy, Utah. Viewing will be held at Cannon Mortuary, 2460 East 7600 South, Sandy, from 6-8 p.m. on March 6th, and also one hour prior to services at the Hillcrest 6th Ward chapel. Burial, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401, South highland Drive.
