The Utah County Democratic Party will be host for a meet-the-candidates open house from 4 to 7 p.m. Aug. 29, in conjunction with the grand opening of its new office on 1256 N. Fifth West in Riverside Plaza.

U.S. Senate hopeful Brian Moss and 3rd District congressional candidate Bob Stringham will join with local county candidates to meet with interested members of the community and discuss their views. Other participants will include Paul Van Dam, who is running for attorney general; Art Monson, the Democratic candidate for state treasurer; and Jason Chaffetz, the Utah County spokesman for the Dukakis-Bentsen campaign.After the grand opening, the office will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. Community residents may call the office at 373-VOTE, or come in to receive information about any Democratic candidate, check precinct boundaries or register to vote.
