Police are searching for a man who held up a credit union in southwest Orem Monday afternoon.
Around 2 p.m. a Caucasian man entered the Acorn Credit Union, operated out of a home located at 1093 W. 285 South. The Acorn Credit Union is for postal employees.The suspect approached the credit union manager, who also lives at the home, "simulated" having a gun in his jacket pocket and demanded that she turn over money.
The manager gave him an undisclosed amount of money. The man then left the residence and headed east.
At the time of the robbery the man was wearing a gray hooded sweat shirt and Levis. He is described as being approximately 23 years old, 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighing 170 pounds. Orem Police and the FBI are investigating the incident, according to Orem Sgt. Mike Larsen.
