Officers on patrol spotted the dogs attacking a man, but the dogs ran away before the officers could help. The officers then trailed one dog, while another pedestrian followed the second back to their owner's yard at 661 S. Conway, according to police Watch Commander Lt. Joel Campbell. One officer fired four times with a shotgun; the other shot twice with his service handgun.
