Two men are in custody in the Utah County Jail after a 38-year-old Las Vegas woman said she was raped Friday night.

The woman told police she was hitchhiking in Las Vegas when she was picked up by two men in a semitrailer truck. As the truck traveled north on I-15 between St. George and Cedar City, the woman said one of the men raped her.As the men passed through Provo late Friday night, they dropped the woman off on Center Street. She called police at 12:25 a.m. and reported she had been raped, according to a dispatcher.

Based on the woman's description of the truck, Provo Officer Gerald Hale stopped a semitrailer truck at the 1300 South freeway exit in Orem at 12:35 a.m. Hale arrested the driver of the vehicle.

However, the passenger refused to exit the truck, and Provo police called for assistance from the Special Response Team. The passenger subsequently left the truck and surrendered.

The men were interviewed and then booked into the Utah County Jail. They were identified as Aaron Bickman, 34, and George McLaughlin, 49, both of Franklinton, La.

The Washington County sheriff's office is working on extradition proceedings for Bickman and a summons for McLaughlin, according to Provo Police Sgt. Richard Healey.
