Brighton will hold National Ski Patrol Day and the Utah Special Olympic Winter Games on Saturday. Events for both Special Olympics and general ski public will be held throughout the day.
Included will be the annual "Race for the Rose," which will be a single-course race broken down into age classes. There will also be prize drawings, a bake sale and demonstrations by ski patrol members. The race will begin at 11 a.m. and is open to all skiers of all ability levels.To help support the program, Utah Gov. Norm Bangerter declared the day National Ski Patrol Day in Utah.
