A Salt Lake woman broke her elbow early Saturday after jumping from her window to escape an attacker.
It was the second such incident in the same Avenues apartment building in less than a year, according to police reports. In Saturday's incident, a woman, 22, was asleep in her apartment in the 700 East block of Second Avenue when she was awakened about 3 a.m. by a man who was on top of her.
"I want you to do everything I tell you to do," the man told her. He then struck her in the face when she tried to break free.
She finally escaped his grasp and jumped out of her bedroom window, breaking her elbow in the process, the report said.
Last November, an unidentified intruder broke into an apartment in the same building about the same time of day and sexually assaulted a 23-year-old woman.
